Minnesota State Trooper Shane Roper has been charged with manslaughter, felony vehicular murder, and a number of other counts of felony vehicular operation. Prosecutors say Roper was touring 83 mph in a 40 mph zone when he T-boned the passenger facet of a Ford Focus, killing a highschool cheerleader and injuring two passengers in addition to three individuals in one other car. An investigation revealed that earlier within the day, Roper “engaged in high-speed driving with out emergency lights, in a single occasion reaching a velocity of 135 mph, different occasions over 99 mph.” On the time of the crash, Roper was “making an attempt to catch as much as a site visitors violator.”
